The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is the world’s largest stock exchange by market capitalization and one of the leading exchanges in the world.

The NYSE was founded in 1792 and it is located at 11 Wall Street in Lower Manhattan. The NYSE is home to over 2,300 companies that are listed on its exchanges. In addition, the NYSE operates a number of subsidiary exchanges including the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), the Chicago Stock Exchange (CME), and the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

History of the NYSE

Many people are not familiar with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The NYSE is a stock exchange that was founded in 1792 and today operates as the largest stock exchange in the world. It is located on Wall Street in Lower Manhattan and has more than 30 trading firms as members.

The NYSE has been a major player in the development of American capitalism and has taken part in many famous stock market crashes, including the Great Depression of 1929 and the dot-com bubble of 2000-2002.
